Spain 6 – Argentina 1
Will Spain win the 2018 World Cup?
During the international break, La Roja boosted belief they can triumph in Russia.
Against Germany last Friday, Spain looked incredible for around 60 minutes as they drew 1-1 with the reigning world champs.
On Tuesday night against Argentina, Spain hit top form.
Isco was the star of the show for Spain as he scored his first international hat-trick in a 6-1 La Roja win.
Diego Costa opened for the Spanish, while Thiago Alcantara and Iago Aspas bagged second half goals.
Man City defender Nicolas Otamendi scored the lone goal for the South Americans.
Argentina were once again without Leo Messi, who was forced to watch the game on the sidelines due to an ongoing adductor injury.
Isco criticises Zinedine Zidane
Surely Isco knew what he was saying, right?
After the Argentina game, the Real Madrid playmaker opened up about his Santiago Bernabeu problems.
Indeed, Isco spoke about his troubles with Zinedine Zidane as he said:
In Madrid, I don’t have the confidence a player needs.
The matches with the national team give me life. Here, I have the confidence of the coach.
I want to show that I’m a good player. Lopetegui shows me confidence with the minutes he gives me.
Maybe I’m the problem in Madrid. I don’t know how to win Zidane’s confidence.
Isco’s Real Madrid exit hint
Many will interpret Isco’s latest comments as a sign he’s ready to leave Real Madrid this summer.
Could Isco be on his way to the Premier League?
For the record, the 25-year-old is under contract with Los Blancos until 2022.
It’s also known that Isco has a staggering €700 million release clause in his Real Madrid contract.
