Reported Arsenal target Aaron Hickey has spoken out about the Gunners' reported interest in him.
Hickey is currently plying his trade in the Serie A with Scotland, joining the Italian outfit from Hearts back in 2020.
The Glasgow native began his career at Celtic, before then joining Hearts’ youth system for a second time in 2018.
Hickey, despite being 19, has become a regular feature for Bologna, featuring 45 times across all competitions, including 33 times in the league this campaign.
The teenager is a natural left-back, but he can also operate on the right and is comfortable in a wing-back role.
And after excelling throughout 2021/22, Hickey found himself linked with Arsenal at the beginning of May:
Given Hickey’s versatility, Nuno Tavares’ questionable displays and Arsenal’s need for some right-back cover, the teenager would likely be a good addition to Mikel Arteta’s side.
Now, in a recent interview, the full-back has been quizzed on Arsenal’s interest.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Hickey said: "I do see quite a lot of talk. One of my friends text me today saying 'what's happening here, lad?'
"They're sending me stuff for transfers and talks, but it's nice to know there's interest of other clubs.
"It gives you some confidence and stuff. You just keep your head down and focus in football."
