The brother of Ajax star Jurrien Timber has, on Sunday, confirmed his sibling’s imminent move to Premier League giants Arsenal.
The name of defender Timber has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines on the red half of north London over the course of the week to date.
This comes after word was forthcoming that prolonged negotiations between the respective boards at Arsenal and Dutch heavyweights Ajax had finally borne fruit.
The former, it is understood, have agreed to fork over a sum with the potential to rise to €45 million to bring Timber to The Emirates.
And yet, to this point, little by way of confirmation has been forthcoming, from either Arsenal, or Ajax.
Fans of the former, however, certainly need not fret.
Already understood to have undergone his medical in north London, the 22-year-old was subsequently spotted in attendance at Ajax’s friendly meeting with Den Bosch on Saturday.
His trip home, however, looks set to prove altogether short-lived.
This comes with the brother of the Dutchman having taken to Instagram late this evening, to unveil a photo from Timber’s ‘goodbye party’.
Alongside a photo of the defender in Arsenal colours, a further caption can also be seen, reading:
