Arsenal vs Leeds: Line-ups confirmed for Premier League match at Emirates Stadium

Arsenal return to Premier League action on Saturday following their 3-0 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion immediately before the international break.

The result ended the holders’ perfect start to the season and allowed Manchester City to move three points clear at the top of the table.

Head coach Mikel Arteta signed a new long-term contract last week and his side now face opponents who are one of five teams yet to lose a Premier League match this season, sitting three points behind Arsenal.

Leeds have drawn three of their last four league games, beating Nottingham Forest 1-0 and drawing 1-1 at Brighton in their two on the road this season.

  • Arteta has won all four of his Premier League games against Leeds United counterpart Daniel Farke, representing the Spaniard’s joint-best 100%-win rate against a manager in the top flight (level with Gary O’Neil), and Farke’s worst 100%-loss rate against a head coach during his league career in England

  • On that occasion, the result meant the Gunners could no longer defend their title while also all-but securing the Leeds’ safety from relegation
  • With two wins and three draws, Leeds have started a league campaign unbeaten in five matches for the first time since their promotion-winning campaign of 2019/20 under Marcelo Bielsa, last achieving the feat in the top flight in 2001/02 (first 11)
  • Leeds’ Dominic Calvert-Lewin is one of two players to rank in the top 10 for aerial duels won (24), runs made ending in the box (33), and high-intensity pressures made in the opposition half (187) in the 2026/27 Premier League, alongside Everton’s Thierno Barry
