Second Manchester City star offered mammoth Saudi move in astonishing transfer

The Pro League continues to try and poach stars from around Europe

Manchester City star Bernardo Silva is the latest to be offered a massive move to Saudi Arabia as the middle-east league looks to hoover up top talent this summer.

Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo have already completed moves to the Saudi Pro League in the last six months in what is set to be the beginning of a big summer, with all of Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Hakim Ziyech, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Neves and Saul Niguez on the verge of completing big moves to the division.

As per David Ornstein, Silva is the latest to be tempted by a move, with a mammoth offer having been tabled and a potential move discussed.

Long linked with a move away from Manchester City, both PSG and Barcelona have been touted as potential destinations for Silva in recent summers and the pair are both thought to be keen on signing the 28-year-old again this summer.

Now both could be left emptyhanded after Silva ‘received a lucrative opportunity to join the Saudi Pro League’, though it is unclear yet which club he would join and whether the offer has even formally been made.

However, ‘there is an expectation [Silva] will turn down the possibility of moving to Saudi Arabia, although he is considering all options’, Ornstein claims.

Meanwhile, there could be yet more departures from the Etihad this summer, with Kyle Walker in talks over a potential switch to Bayern Munich after being sidelined for much of last season, while Ilkay Gundogan is still yet to make a decision on his future amid interest from both Arsenal and Barcelona in the soon-to-be free agent.
