Wolves & Europa League
With two rounds of the Premier League remaining, Wolves still have work to do.
Whoever finishes in seventh place in the division is likely to play in the Europa League next year.
That’s on the condition that Man City beat Watford in the FA Cup final.
Wolves currently hold seventh spot on 54 points. Leicester are in eighth on 51 points.
Fulham & Liverpool
This weekend Wolves host Fulham.
Fulham have already been relegated to the Championship.
On the final day of the season, Liverpool will take on Wolves at Anfield.
Provided Liverpool beat Newcastle this weekend, the Reds will still have a chance at being champions when they play Wolves.
Rui Patricio & Will Norris
Rui Patricio has been the Wolves goalkeeper for the majority of the season.
John Ruddy has also received minutes in the league and cups.
However, Wolves look set to give third-choice goalie Will Norris an appearance versus either Fulham or Liverpool.
As reported by the Express & Star, Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed his intention to play Norris in the Premier League. The manager said:
Will is with us all the games, and the way he’s been is fantastic.
There are three goalkeepers but only one place. Last season, Will had a chance to play in the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.
Things have changed this season, but Will’s behaviour has not changed.
The way he commits himself to the work has not changed. It’s even improved because the group know each other better.
We must give Will a chance. Hopefully, I will try.
I would like to finish the season with all the players having minutes in the Premier League. I would really, really like that.
