Revealed: The record Arsenal broke vs Crystal Palace

Arsenal set a very impressive record vs Crystal Palace.

Arsenal faced off with Crystal Palace on Sunday in a Premier League clash.

The Gunners knew a win over the Eagles would hand them an eight-point lead over Manchester City heading into the international break, though City do have one game in hand because of their FA Cup commitments over the weekend.

And when all was said and done at the Emirates, Arsenal eventually came away with a 4-1 win thanks to goals from Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka (x2) and Granit Xhaka.

Now, following that match, it has been revealed that Arsenal have set an English record.

Victory over Crystal Palace marked a ninth London derby win for Arsenal this season - no team has ever achieved so many triumphs in capital clashes during a single campaign.

Arteta’s side have remarkably amassed 28 points from their 30 meetings against fellow London clubs this season, only failing to beat Brentford in a 1-1 draw at the Emirates last month.

Arsenal now have 69 points from 28 games and history suggests they are very likely to win the league from here. Read more about that below:
