Revealed: The club leading the race to sign Dan-Axel Zagadou between West Ham & Lyon

West Ham United and Olympique Lyonnais are battling it out for the signing of Dan-Axel Zagadou.

West Ham United and Olympique Lyonnais are both making strong attempts to sign Dan-Axel Zagadou.

The defender is a free agent after leaving Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

The 23-year-old could be an astute pick-up for either club as the defender was a key player for Dortmund prior to his injury troubles last season.

West Ham in pole position

West Ham are in pole position to sign Dan-Axel Zagadou, according to RMC Sport.

The Hammers are making a strong push to bring him to the London Stadium.

They have offered the defender a four-year contract.

Peter Bosz wants to strengthen his defence and the French team are targeting the free agent.

But with David Moyes’ side having already offered him a contract, West Ham are leading the race.
