Raul Jimenez admits it’s ‘incredible’ to be on radar of top teams such as Man United & Real Madrid

Raul Jimenez

Wolves striker Raul Jimenez has recently been discussing the rumours linking him to some top clubs.

Wolves standout

Since securing their return to the Premier League in 2018, Wolves have been outstanding.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men were most certainly the surprise package of the 2018/19 season, finishing 7th to secure a Europa League place in their first season back in the English top-flight.

The current campaign has been similarly impressive from a Wolves perspective, with the Midlands-based club once again in contention to secure some form of European football.

One of their standout stars during this period has been Raul Jimenez.

The Mexican joined Wolves on a season-long loan in the summer of 2018, before linking up with the Premier League outfit on a permanent basis a year later.

During his stint at Molineux, Jimenez has notched 88 appearances across all competitions, netting 39 and assisting 18 along the way.

Jimenez on his links to top sides

Such a return has, understandably, seen some of Europe’s heavyweights linked with the hitman.

The likes of Manchester United and Juventus are said to have shown interest in Jimenez this term.

The centre-forward himself also recently suggested that he wouldn’t turn down an offer from Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Now, as mentioned above, Jimenez has once again been discussing rumoured interest in his signature.

The Wolves star claimed that it is ‘incredible’ to be on the radar of such ‘important’ clubs:

“’It is something very cool. Different teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool – they are teams that are important in football history.”

“It is an incredible thing to be on the radar and on the lips of those teams.”

Jimenez also suggested that he uses transfer links as an incentive to perform:

“They are rumours but it is something good for me to continue growing, making an effort and taking it as an incentive so that, if possible, I can achieve it.”
