Porto vs Roma betting tips: Champions League match preview & predictions

Porto vs Roma prediction: Porto 1-1 Roma

Roma hold a narrow advantage heading into the second leg, although Porto bring with them the all-important away goal from the first leg.

Porto won all three of their home matches in the group stage but suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time they hosted Italian opposition.

Roma have only won three of their last 10 matches on the road in all competitions. A draw would be enough for Eusebio Di Francesco’s side to progress to the last eight.

Porto have scored in every home match they have played in this season. Both teams to score is 8/13.

Fit-again Moussa Marega is 15/8 to open the scoring and 21/20 to score anytime.

Porto vs Roma Champions League match preview

FC Porto host AS Roma at the Estadio do Dragao on Wednesday night for the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie.

Porto narrowly lead the tie 2-1 on aggregate from the first leg. 19-year-old Nicolo Zaniolo scored a quick-fire brace in Rome before Adrian netted a crucial away goal for Porto.

Both sides suffered weekend defeats in the lead up to Wednesday’s match. Porto’s 18-match unbeaten run at home came to an end as they lost to Primeira Liga leaders Benfica 2-1 on Saturday.

Adrian gave Porto the lead early on but goals from Joao Felix and Rafa Silva earned 10-man Benfica the three points.

Roma lost for the first time in six matches, losing 3-0 in the Rome derby at Lazio. The defeat leaves Roma 5th in Serie A, three points behind Inter Milan.

Porto will be looking to reach the quarter-finals for the first time since the 2014/15 season.

The two sides have met five times in the Champions League. Porto have two wins – including their first-leg victory three weeks ago – while Roma have one.
