New Newcastle United away kit to be in Saudi Arabia colours
Leaked images of Newcastle United’s 2022/23 away kit have been released online.
The images have been reported on by The Times, with the kit in question set to be green and white, the colours of Saudi Arabia, the country whose public investment fund owns 80 per cent of Newcastle United at present.
The white strip has a green trim around the neck and sleeves, whilst the club crest and Castore logo are also green, with the design similar to that worn by Saudi Arabia in 2020 when their kit manufacturers were Nike.
And whilst the current Saudi kit is less similar to the leaked Newcastle design, The Times suggest that the change in colour will further strengthen the link between the North East club and their Middle Eastern owners, as well as being seen as a move to increase shirt sales and interest in the side in the Gulf state.

Newcastle also donned green and white for their 1999/2000 away kit. However, the design was very different to the images shown above.
