Real Madrid & Man United’s Paul Pogba
Is this the end of the Paul Pogba transfer saga this summer?
Pogba indicated that he wanted to leave Man United at the start of the summer.
However, despite the midfielder’s desire for a new challenge, with three days left in the Premier League transfer window, Pogba remains with United.
On Monday, the Times have confirmed that Real Madrid have submitted an official offer to sign Pogba.
Real Madrid offer £27.4 million plus James Rodriguez offer for Paul Pogba
However, Real Madrid’s offer for Pogba was way below the asking price.
Pogba joined Man United from Juventus for 105 million euros.
The Times revealed, however, that Real were hoping to sign Pogba in a cash plus player exchange:
Manchester United insist that Paul Pogba will start the season with them after Real Madrid finally made an offer for the World Cup winner last week — a derisory £27.4 million plus the Colombia forward James Rodríguez.
Sources in Spain confirmed the bid and added that Real were unable to put together any deal that would approach the £150 million United would demand for the 26-year-old France midfielder.
James Rodriguez is now back with Real Madrid following a two-year loan spell at Bayern Munich.

Could any other club sign Pogba?
Considering the transfer window closes on Thursday, that seems highly unlikely.
While Juventus have been linked with re-signing Pogba, there’s nothing to suggest that the Bianconeri will make a move in the next 72 hours.
Paulo Dybala isn’t joining Man United
At the same time, the Times confirm that Man United’s hopes of signing Paulo Dybala are over:
United also pulled the plug on their pursuit of Paulo Dybala last night because of the Juventus forward’s exorbitant demands.
