Lies spread linking Christian Eriksen collapse to Covid-19 vaccinations

Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to Christian Eriksen following his horrendous collapse in the match against Finland on Saturday night.

As we await further updates on Eriksen’s health, a disgraceful, stomach-turning lie is beginning to spread on social media.

Some are spreading the wholly false news that Eriksen’s incident came as a result of a Covid-19 vaccination.

Two examples of this despicable lie – which we are sharing only to publicly condemn them –  can be seen below.

Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta addresses the Eriksen, Covid-19 vaccination lie

On Saturday night, Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta rejected the Covid-19 vaccination lie.

Marotta confirmed two key issues.

Firstly, Eriksen hasn’t had Covid. Secondly, Eriksen has not been vaccinated yet.

Speaking to RAI Sport in Italy, Moratta said:

He did not have Covid and was not vaccinated either. At this moment, Eriksen is under the guidance of the Danish medical staff.

Danish press continue to fight against the Eriksen, Covid-19 vaccine lie

On Sunday morning, the lie linking Christian Eriksen’s collapse to a Covid-19 vaccination is amongst the top stories in the Danish press.

For example, the top story on Ekstra Bladet reads: “Reject the viral Eriksen lie”.

Similarly, Danish outlet BT have also tried to fight back against this sickening Eriksen lie.

On their website on Sunday, an article is titled: “Vaccine skeptics share lie about Eriksen: The information is false”.

Italy’s Radio Sportiva also try to fight the Eriksen, Covid-19 vaccination lie

In Italy, some appear to be trying to claim that Radio Sportiva was the source of the Eriksen, Covid-19 vaccination story.

Radio Sportiva are trying their damnedest to try to extinguish this unforgivable lie, as they’ve issued a series of tweets attempting to set the record straight.

The Italian media outlet have said: “The information reported in the tweet mentioned is false. We have never reported any opinion from the Inter medical staff regarding Christian Eriksen’s condition. Please remove the content from the tweet author, otherwise we will be forced to take action.”
