Leeds set an unwanted Premier League record in Bournemouth defeat

Leeds United, on Sunday, etched their name into the history books of the Premier League, for all the wrong reasons.

Leeds, of course, were back in action earlier this afternoon.

Amid an ongoing battle against the drop, the Whites made the trip to in-form Bournemouth, desperate for a return to winning ways.

When all was said and done at the Vitality Stadium, however, to say that such efforts came up short would be something of an understatement.

Instead, Leeds were put to the sword in frankly embarrassing fashion, by four goals to one.

And the alarming extent of their latest loss, as alluded to above, has since give rise to a remarkable statistic surrounding the woes of Javi Gracia’s troops.

This marks the most goals that any one team has ever conceded in a single month in Premier League history.
