Ivan Toney reveals the two Premier League giants he would move to next

The Brentford striker opened up on a recent podcast

Despite currently being banned from football, Ivan Toney has revealed the two Premier League clubs he would join if he were ever to leave Brentford.

The Brentford forward is under suspension from all football-related activity until 2024 after breaching the FA’s betting guidelines over 200 times, but remains one of the most sought after strikers in the Premier League.

Still just 27 years old, he scored 20 goals in 33 appearances for Brentford last season, form that saw him handed his England debut in the March international break.

Toney was widely expected to move on from the Bees this summer before the news of his suspension came, and with the striker only under contract in northwest London until 2025, he is almost certain to depart next summer or in January.

Plenty of Premier League clubs have been credited with an interest, including Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle United, with a goalscoring forward on just about everyone’s wishlist.

However, Toney has revealed that he won’t just move for the sake of it, and that he will only move if the right club comes calling.

“The next club I go to if I was to move, it would be the right club. I’ve been a Liverpool fan my whole life but from young, I’ve liked Arsenal, watching Arsenal, how they play & how passionate the fans are”, he told the diary of a CEO podcast.

Brentford are likely to slap a hefty price tag on their striker, meaning that any club will have to pay in excess of £50m to sign the England international in the coming windows.
