How Oleksandr Zinchenko angered Arsenal fans post-Champions League final

Oleksandr Zinchenko has garnered the anger of Arsenal fans over the weekend.

Manchester City saw off Inter Milan in the final of the Champions League on Saturday evening.

It is the first time in the Sky Blues’ history they have won the competition and they have been congratulated on their achievement by former player, Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Zinchenko spent six years at the Etihad Stadium before joining the Gunners last summer and the 26-year-old took to social media to show his support for his former side.

The Ukrainian international reposted City’s Instagram post on them being champions of Europe, including the clapping hands emoji to show his old club some love.

But some Arsenal fans were less than impressed, questioning the left-back’s decision to congratulate Arsenal’s closest rival in the Premier League last season.

Some of the tweets aimed at the left-back from Arsenal fans can be seen below:

@reynachal : “no wayyyy.”

@L1CCJN : “Keep the same energy you Arsenal fans had for Aubameyang for Zinchenko.”

@PrivzArsenalZ : “Trying to ignore that Zinchenko post but that’s unacceptable I’m sorry.”

@TheTown7011 : “We’re trying to compete with them man and he’s congratulating them.”
