Gary Neville risks Arsenal fan’s wrath with latest Chelsea claim

Gary Neville may upset some Arsenal fans with his latest comments.

Arsenal are on course to lift their first Premier League title since their 2004 invincible season.

After 30 games of the campaign, Arsenal have amassed 73 points and sit top of the Premier League by six points.

Chelsea, on the other hand, are heading towards one of their worst-ever finishes to a Premier League campaign.

The Blues sit 11th in the Premier League and any hope of securing a Champions League place is gone, whilst even a Europa Conference League spot seems out of reach. The west Londoners have 39 points from 30 games, whilst 7th place Brighton have amassed 46 points having played two fewer games.

Despite this, former Manchester United right-back Gary Neville believes Chelsea are better in one area of the pitch this season.

Speaking on the latest episode of the Overlap, the Sky Sports pundit labelled Chelsea’s midfield three of N’Golo Kante, Enzo Fernandez and Mateo Kovacic the league’s second-best midfield behind Manchester City’s.

A major claim given how well Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard have played for large parts of this season.
