Months after a managerial change that saw Patrick Vieira ousted from Crystal Palace and replaced by the aging hand of Roy Hodgson, the veteran English headmaster proved to be the man for the job once again in the capital as the Eagles are set to finish the 2022-23 season in mid-table.
Massively improvement in results meant that the club can bank on another season at the top, but how the club intends to properly replace Vieira is another matter; one that becomes a priority after the weekend.
A clash with Nottingham Forest in London closes the season for a squad still capable of better than they placed and with Forest also secure of their destiny, neither side has much to play for overall. Hodgson will be without star man Wilfried Zaha as well as Luka Milivojevic, Nathan Ferguson, and James Tomkins. Jeffrey Schlupp did not feature last time out so it remains to be seen what is to come from him on Sunday.
