An update on the future of Crystal Palace head coach Roy Hodgson has been forthcoming late on Thursday evening.
The subject of the bench at Selhurst Park has of course long stood as a major talking point across the Crystal Palace fanbase.
This comes as the Eagles hierarchy are faced with a major decision, regarding their managerial plans for next season and beyond.
The widespread understanding, upon Palace opting to reappoint ex-boss Roy Hodgson late in March, was that the Englishman would simply see out the season, before moving on once more.
So successful has his stint back in England’s capital since proven, however, that Steve Parish and co. have since been left with little choice but to give consideration to extending their headmaster’s terms through the summer.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media late on Thursday is anything to go by, then this is precisely what appears to be on the cards.
‘Roy Hodgson is on course to stay at Crystal Palace for another season, with the club ready to hand the veteran coach a 12-month deal.’
Negotiations over the terms of a renewal are expected to be kicking into gear over the coming days, with both parties keen to find an agreement.
