Tottenham Hotspur are continuing their search for a new manager.
Antonio Conte was sacked 52 days ago and Spurs have since been through two different interims.
But now, the north London club now look to be closing in on a permanent appointment with a first choice target identified.
Slot number one choice
Arne Slot is seen as Tottenham’s first choice, according to the Independent.
The Dutchman ticks plenty of boxes that Spurs are looking for in their new manager.
They want a progressive and up-and-coming coach who has a record of bringing on a new team with a modern style of play.
Feyenoord want to keep Slot and are offering him a significant pay rise.
The Dutch club would land these less around £4.5 million if he decides to move to N17.
This season, Slot’s Feyenoord side won their first league title since 2017, and reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League, having reached the Conference League final last year.
Tottenham also wish to speak to Sporting CP coach Ruben Amorim.
