Arsenal: Wolves bid £30m for Daniele Rugani & Laurent Koscielny looks set for Bordeaux

Daniele Rugani & Juventus

Juventus have transformed their squad this summer.

The Bianconeri now have Maurizio Sarri at the helm, while they’ve signed the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Matthijs de Ligt.

As for the outgoings, Everton have signed Moise Kean, while the futures of Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain remain up in the air.

At the back, Daniele Rugani has been linked with a move away from Turin.

Rugani, 25, is under contract in Turin until 2023, having only recently signed a contract extension in March.

However, last season, Rugani only made 15 Serie A appearances for Juve.

Wolves bid £30m

On Monday, Gazzetta dello Sport contributor Nicolo Schira revealed that Wolves were gearing up for a Rugani bid.

As confirmed in the Times on Tuesday, Wolves have now made a move to sign Rugani.

Wolves have offered Juventus 30 million pounds for the Italian centre-half.

Of course, Wolves have already boosted their backline this summer.

Real Madrid defender Jesus Vallejo has joined Wolves on a season-long loan deal.

Will Arsenal up their offer for Rugani?

The Times report the following:

Arsenal’s hopes of signing Daniele Rugani have been hit by Wolverhampton Wanderers making a £30 million offer for the Juventus centre back.

The 25-year-old has been told that he can leave the Italian club, who rejected Arsenal’s offer of a two-year loan. Arsenal have been encouraged to change their terms.

Laurent Koscielny’s €5m transfer to Bordeaux

It’s not yet been confirmed, but Arsenal appear to have won a battle with their club captain Laurent Koscielny.

Koscielny, 33, refused to go on tour with Arsenal to America during pre-season.

After several weeks of confusion, it now appears that Koscielny is on the verge of joining Bordeaux.

As reported by L’Equipe, Arsenal and Bordeaux finalised a deal for Koscielny late last night.

Koscielny is already in Bordeaux for his medical.

At the same time, ESPN claim that Bordeaux are set to sign Koscielny for €5m including bonuses.

Koscielny is set to agree a three-year deal at Bordeaux.
