Ansu Fati's predicted Barcelona return date revealed

A fresh insight into the fitness of Barcelona starlet Ansu Fati has been provided on Sunday afternoon.

And, in a boost to all associated with the club, the news has proven of an altogether positive nature.

Wide-man Ansu has of course endured a nightmare campaign to date, restricted to just a trio of La Liga starts owing to ongoing injury problems.

The Spaniard’s latest such setback came in January, when a fresh hamstring issue picked up during a Copa del Rey meeting with Athletic Club saw him limp out of proceedings and straight down the tunnel.

Ansu has remained on the sidelines ever since, taking a precautionary approach so as not to suffer yet another potential setback.

And now, as alluded to above, a fresh insight into the recovery efforts of the 19-year-old has been provided on Sunday afternoon.

The info comes courtesy of the reliable Fernando Polo of Mundo Deportivo, who reports that Ansu is set to undergo an MRI on Monday, with a positive result expected to culminate in his immediate reintroduction to first-team training alongside the rest of Xavi's squad.

From here, the prodigious attacker will continue to build up his fitness, ahead of a long-awaited return to the pitch in Barcelona's meeting with Levante on April 10th.

Sevilla showdown

Turning attentions back towards the immediate job at hand of Barca, the Catalans are set to mark their post-international break return to action a week from today, in a La Liga showdown with Sevilla at the Camp Nou.

Xavi and co. will head into proceedings with spirits high in the camp, no doubt confident in their chances of securing a 6th successive league victory.

This comes with the Blaugrana fresh off the back of a remarkable display and ensuing result last time out, when a trip to fierce rivals Real Madrid for the latest edition of El Clasico ultimately culminated in the visitors emerging on the right side of a 4-0 scoreline.
