Adrien Rabiot to Manchester United: The latest

The midfielder’s move to Old Trafford appears to be inching closer

A series of updates on the ongoing efforts of Manchester United to land Adrien Rabiot from Juventus have been forthcoming on Tuesday.

Surprise links between French international Rabiot and the Red Devils, of course, first began to circulate 24 hours ago.

In something of a bolt from the blue, word, courtesy of a number of reliable sources, emerged that the powers that be at Old Trafford had set their sights firmly on the signature of Juve’s oft-criticised midfield star.

This comes after United’s current options in the middle of the park failed to step up to the plate once more, en route to a 2-1 opening day Premier League defeat at the hands of Brighton this past weekend.

And now, as alluded to above, a fresh insight into the situation has been provided.

The info comes courtesy of French football expert Julien Laurens, who has revealed that Erik ten Hag has made direct contact with Rabiot, in an effort to entice him away from Turin.

Elsewhere, confirmation has too been forthcoming that a deal is now in place between the respective boards at United and Juventus.

This comes after the two parties agreed on a transfer fee of around €17 million.

Negotiations, in turn, are now underway with Rabiot’s entourage and mother Veronique, regarding the personal terms of a contract in Manchester.
