Orlando City vs Dallas betting tips: Major League Soccer preview, predictions and odds

None of the last five meetings of these two have produced an away win, dating back to their first-ever MLS encounter, a 1-0 victory for Dallas in Florida in 2015. Orlando City won the last encounter at Exploria Stadium, a 2-0 success in 2019.

Both teams to score is 7/10.

Ercan Kara is 9/2 to open the scoring and 11/8 to add to his Orlando City tally.

Paul Arriola is just the second FC Dallas player to score in four consecutive MLS games in the last decade. He is 10/1 to break the deadlock and 10/3 to continue the streak.

Match preview

It's third in the east vs third in the west in Florida with both clubs looking to continue their impressive starts to the campaign.

FC Dallas boast a one-point advantage over their hosts, despite seeing their unbeaten home record this season come to an end last weekend.

The Burn found themselves 2-0 down against Minnesota United in Frisco, with Paul Arriola's lovely strike unable to spark a comeback.

This means Nico Estévez's side have now actually lost back-to-back games, despite only losing one of their first 11 in 2022 before this slump.

Orlando City meantime were in Texas last weekend, where they were involved in a rather eventful encounter against Austin FC.

When Ercan Kara and then Ruan had the Lions 2-0 up early at Q2 Stadium, they looked set for an impressive road win.

However, after the break, everything went wrong; Rodrigo Schlegel and César Araújo were both sent off before Austin snatched a 96th minute equaliser.

Astonishingly, this is the seventh Orlando have had multiple players sent off in an MLS match, the most of any side since they joined the league in 2015.

Óscar Pareja's team did not let this collapse affect them though, regrouping in Wednesday night's U.S. Open Cup tie against Inter Miami.

The tie finished goalless after 90 minutes and 1-1 following two hours of player with Facundo Torres bagging an equaliser.

In the subsequent shootout, Kara, Robin Jansson, Andrés Perea and Mauricio Pereyra were all on target as the Lions snuck through 4-2.

Orlando City will now host Nashville next month with a place in the semi-finals on the line.
