Mohamed Salah believes he has plenty of years left in his legs and has not ruled out a potential move to the Saudi Pro League in the future.
The Liverpool superstar, who recently turned 32, has hinted he could extend his playing days until the age of 40.
Coming off a phenomenal season that saw him net 29 goals and provide 18 assists as Liverpool won the Premier League title, Salah’s form suggests he has no plans to slow down anytime soon.
In an interview with Egyptian TV channel ON Sports, Salah opened up about his long-term ambitions.
“I will stop playing when I have that feeling,” he said. “If you ask me for my opinion, I think I can play until the age of 39 or 40 but if I felt before that I wanted to stop, I would quit. I have achieved a lot of things.”
Salah also revealed he came close to moving to Saudi Arabia before recommitting to Liverpool last month.

“My contract was up at Liverpool and I would have gone to Saudi but we finalised the deal with Liverpool,” he explained.
With 186 Premier League goals to his name across spells at Liverpool and Chelsea, Salah currently sits fifth in the all-time scoring charts, just one behind Andrew Cole.
Although his new deal keeps him at Anfield until 2027, Salah made it clear he’s still keeping the door open for a possible switch to the Middle East.
“I still have a good relationship with them and I always stay in contact with them. Yes, we were talking to each other.
“I don’t know what is going to happen but I am happy here in Liverpool and I am staying here for the next two years. Then I will see what I will do next.”
Reports say Salah was in line to earn a staggering £500 million if he had chosen to leave Merseyside for the Saudi Pro League.
Despite that eye-watering sum, Salah opted to remain at Liverpool and focus on adding to his already impressive collection of silverware on Merseyside.
