Manchester City announced on Wednesday that ticket prices will not increase for the 2025–26 season in response to fan protests in recent weeks.
The decision will apply to both general-admission season tickets and individual Premier League match tickets.
According to the club, the move follows discussions with a supporter liaison group, who had been working hard behind the scenes to prevent the rises.
Tensions have grown between the club and its fanbase in recent weeks. During last week’s home clash against Leicester, some fans remained in the concourses for the opening nine minutes of the match in protest.
Their frustration centered around the club’s new collaboration with a third-party ticket resale company.
That protest came on the heels of an open letter sent by seven different City supporters’ groups.

The letter voiced concerns over rising ticket prices in recent years and fears that loyal, local fans could be priced out of attending matches altogether.
In an official statement, Manchester City highlighted recent communication with City Matters, the club’s fan engagement initiative.
“The club would like to thank City Matters representatives for the feedback they provide on a range of topics relating to ticketing,” the statement read, “and for sharing a broad range of perspectives from the fans they represent”
They also described the recent exchanges with the group as “positive and constructive dialogue.”
City are now following in the footsteps of the likes of Tottenham who have put a halt on increasing prices. It reflects their poor performances on the pitch under Pep Guardiola this term but all parties will hope to see a return to success in the 2025-26 campaign.
