Arsenal have agreed a fee with Club Brugge for Greece international winger Christos Tzolis, according to a report in The Athletic.
The Gunners have held a lengthy interest in the 24-year-old and have decided to move now after selling Leandro Trossard to Besiktas earlier this week.
Club Brugge have accepted an offer in the region of £34million for Tzolis, who has three years remaining on his contract with the Belgian club.
Personal terms are not expected to be a problem, meaning Tzolis will be Arsenal’s third signing of the summer after making Piero Hincapie’s loan deal permanent and also bringing in back-up goalkeeper Illan Meslier.
Arsenal give Tzolis second chance in England
It will be his second spell in England after a fairly unremarkable stint at Norwich that lasted one season (2021/22) before he was sent on loan to FC Twente and Fortuna Dusseldorf.
He has enjoyed greater success at Club Brugge after joining in 2024 and recorded 22 goals and 29 assists in 52 appearances in all competitions last season as the club won the Pro League title.
A regular for Greece, Tzolis has won 34 caps for his country.
Primarily a left-winger, he will compete for a starting spot at Arsenal with Gabriel Martinelli, although the Brazilian is also reported to be available for transfer in this window.
Arsenal clinched their first Premier League title in 22 years last season but missed out on the double after losing the Champions League final to Paris Saint-Germain.
They face Manchester City in the Community Shield on August 16 before opening their league campaign at home to newly promoted Coventry the following Friday.
