Manchester United forward Antony has no indication of where his future lies after his loan spell at Real Betis came to an end with a 4-1 defeat to Chelsea in the Conference League final.

Antony joined the LaLiga club in January after falling out of favour with United boss Ruben Amorim.

The change of scenery was transformative for Antony, who scored nine goals and provided five assists in his time with Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

But he failed to inspire Betis to a first European trophy, despite them taking an early lead through Abde Ezzalzouli.

Chelsea turned things around emphatically in the second half, goals from Enzo Fernandez, Nicolas Jackson, Jadon Sancho and Moises Caicedo securing victory for the Blues.

Afterwards an emotional Antony was asked by CBS Sports about his future, with United set to overhaul their squad following a 15th-placed finish in the Premier League.

“I don’t know what will happen in the future, only God knows,” the Brazilian said.

“My work is playing and I’m doing that well. I have a lot of affection for Betis, for everyone, but I have a contract with Man United and I don’t know what’s going to happen.

“Now I will go to the national team and then on holiday then we will see what happens in the future.

‘I’m very happy here, everyone knows that but I have a contract.”
