When is the first Clasico of 2025-26?
The first Clasico of the coming season and of the Xabi Alonso era at Madrid will take place on October 26.
It will take place at the Santiago Bernabeu and represent the first taste of the fixture for the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen.
Last season, Barca thumped Madrid 4-0 at the Bernabeu thanks to a double from Robert Lewandowski and goals from Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
There will surely be scrutiny on Alonso if he cannot secure a better result.
When will Barcelona host the Clasico?
Barca all but sealed the LaLiga title with a thrilling 4-3 win over Madrid at the Olympic Stadium in May.
That win came despite a hat-trick from Madrid star Kylian Mbappe, with Eric Garcia and Yamal on target as a double from Raphinha proved decisive.
And that fixture could again come at a crucial juncture in the title race, with Barcelona set to host the Clasico on May 10.
Will it be held at Camp Nou?
The second LaLiga Clasico of the season will be the first meeting between the two sides to be held at Camp Nou since Madrid’s 4-0 win there in the 2022-23 Copa del Rey semi-finals.
Barca have been playing at the Olympic Stadium since the start of the 2023-24 season as Camp Nou has undergone renovations.
Renovation work on the Barca’s famous traditional home is not expected to be completed until June 2026.
But Barca’s lease on the Olympic Stadium does not extend to the coming season and it is expected they will return to Camp Nou in September, with reports suggesting the Joan Gamper Trophy in August will serve as a test game.
The stadium may not be fully completed by May, but all signs point to it hosting the Clasico.
