Germany and France both failed in their bids to make the Nations League final but they will play for honour in the third-place play-off.

The Germans fell at the hands of Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal earlier in the week.

While France lost a 5-4 thriller to Spain, despite being 5-1 down at one point.

There may not be much on the line, but both teams will be keen to end their Nations League campaign on a high.

Germany line-up

Julian Nagelsmann has gone with a strong starting XI.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen is in goal, behind a back four of Joshua Kimmich, Jonathan Tah, Robin Koch and David Raum.

Then comes a midfield two of Pascal Gross and Leon Goretzka.

Ahead is a three of Karim Adeyemi, Florian Wirtz and Nick Woltemade.

And Niclas Fullkrug is the lone striker.
