Kylian Mbappe produced two goals and an assist and Jude Bellingham scored his third goal of the season as Real Madrid moved second in La Liga and stayed perfect at home this season with victory over Rayo Vallecano in La Liga.
Last season’s Liga top scorer converted a 14th-minute penalty after Florian Lejeune tripped Alvaro Carreras and set up the left-back to fire in from inside the box three minutes later.
Bellingham collected Vinicius Junior’s pass to hit the third from the edge of the box in the 35th minute, although Vallecano replied when Sergio Camello prodded in his sixth goal in four games.
Mbape arrowed in a fourth with a low drive to end a counter-attack in the 91st minute as Madrid ensured they have won all four of their home matches in all competitions this season, although their 1-0 defeat at Betis on September 4 means they are level on points with leaders Barcelona but have a game less to play.

Mbappe might have had a second during first-half added time but shot against a post, with Vallecano’s Pedro Diaz following suit from distance shortly after the restart.
Later in the second half, Denzel Dumfries headed Arda Guler’s free-kick against the crossbar via an excellent save from goalkeeper Emil Aduero, whose side gave an admirable account of themselves with 18 attempts at goal.
Vallecano remain on four points and are next in action at home to Espanyol in La Liga on Tuesday (18:00 BST). Madrid visit Elche on the same night (20:30).
