Spain vs Sweden betting tip: Spain 2-1 Sweden
Both Spain and Sweden come into their opening group stage clash on good overall form.
La Roja have lost just once in their last 13-matches (6-6-1) and are undefeated in their last eight outings (4-4-0) while Blagult have won five on the spin but none of them came against real considerable opposition. Sweden do have a chance to get something here, as Spain failed to keep the Netherlands, Switzerland, Greece, Kosovo, and Georgia off the scoresheet.
Playing on their home patch in Sevilla – where they have scored a combined nine goals against Germany and Kosovo – should keep them as favorites here.\
Their demolition of Germany back in November should serve as a warning of what they are capable of on any given day.

Result/Both Teams to Score: Spain – YesÂ
Upsets in the first round of fixtures are as common as a cold at international competitions, but Spain are just about as close to being considered a tournament favorite without being one and their record speaks for itself. Sweden have more than enough firepower to ask questions though the likes of Alexander Isak, but Spain really should come out winners here.
Wincast: Ferran Torres to Score 1st/Spain Full-Time ResultÂ
While it is tempting to pick Alvaro Morata for the goal in this wincast, Manchester City’s Ferran Torres has been in good goal-scoring form since breaking into the Spanish team, bagging 6-goals in 11-caps. His pace and trickery on the ball could afford him ample opportunities to really get at an aging Swedish back-line and find himself on the end of a few chances.

Spain vs Sweden betting tips: Match preview
The talk of the town in the run-up to Euro 2020 has surrounded the world’s two-highest ranked sides; France and Belgium. Rightfully so, in truth, as the two nations have incredibly gifted and deep squads to choose from, and with France being the current World Cup holders, few would look past them as the true favorite. But Spain are in with a real shout this summer, and have the pedigree to back it up.
Still the only side to win back-to-back European Championships in the competition’s history, Spain have rebuilt well under Luis Enrique since the former Barcelona midfielder took charge back in 2019, and served up a 6-0 demolition job of Germany as evidence that they are still just as much a threat as years past despite only reaching the round of 16 in their last-two major tournaments (Euro 2016, 2018 World Cup).
Back to front, Spain are flooded with talent and can call upon a midfield trio that is hands down one of the best of the tournament. Though questions may still be asked about whether or not David De Gea will be up to the task, anything less than a deep run in the tournament should be viewed as a failed campaign.
Sweden on the outside looking in
It has been a long time since Sweden have been able to look back at an international tournament with true fond memories. Finishing as runner-up once and third-place on two occasions at the World Cup between 1950-1994, Sweden has yet to truly leave their mark at the Euroâs, with their semi-final appearance in 1992 as host-nation being their best-ever performance on the continent.
They come into Euro 2020 on the back of a five-match winning run, but lost five of seven against considerable opposition before that. As usual, it is hard to gauge what Sweden will turn up at any given tournament. On paper, the squad is a solid one, and have considerable firepower up front through the likes of Alexander Isak, Emil Forsberg, Dejan Kulusevski, Jordan Larsson (son of Swedish legend Henrik Larsson), and Robin Quaison. But the Swedes have been let down by their tactical approach at tournaments in the past, along a similar vein as fellow Scandinavian outfit Denmark.
If Janne Andersen can bring something new to the table this summer and allow Swedenâs best-attacking players the freedom to really play some progressive football, they have enough talent to make a push for the knockout stage.
Spain team news vs Sweden
Spain boss Luis Enrique will be looking to kick-start La Rojaâs Euro 2020 campaign on firm footing when they clash with Sweden, but will have one or two selection headaches to contend with.
Both Sergio Busquets and Diego Llorente have both tested positive for Covid-19 in the run-up to the tournament, but last reports from Enrique have them in good health and training at home while isolating. The pair are expected to play some part in the tournament, but will be unavailable for selection against Sweden.
Sweden team news vs Spain
Janne Andersen leads Sweden to Euro 2020 with every chance of emerging from Group E as the Swedeâs come into group play on the back of a five-match winning run, including a win against fellow participant Finland.
Andersen will begin the tournament without key winger Dejan Kulusevski and midfielder Mattias Svanberg as both have tested positive for Covid-19. Both should return to duty at some stage.
