Burnley v Arsenal – Line-ups, stats and preview

Burnley v Arsenal Match Preview

Arsenal head into the Premier League weekend with a four-point lead at the top of the table and will be hoping to extend that at Turf Moor.

The Gunners have won seven of their opening nine games and look in good shape to mount a serious title battle under Mikel Arteta. They have lost just one of their 18 games against the Clarets in the Premier League, buut Scott Parker’s side are in good form too.

A late, late winner against Wolves last Sunday made it two Premier League wins in a row for the newly-promoted side and they have moved five points clear of the bottom three.

They last beat Arsenal at home in 1973 – could a very, very long wait come to an end?

Burnley v Arsenal team news

Burnley are waiting on the availability of midfielder Lesley Ugochuukwu after he came off in the Wolves game but he is expected to be fit. Jordan Beyer, Zeki Amdouni and Connor Roberts all remain sidelined for the Clarets.

Arsenal, as ever, have some issues. William Saliba came off against Crystal Palace last weekend and the key defender is uunlikely to be fit, while Gabriel Martinelli is also out with a muuscle injury.
