Cristiano Ronaldo has been included in Portugal’s squad by new head coach Jorge Jesus for the upcoming Nations League matches.
The 41-year-old remains a key part of the national team despite confirming that this summer’s World Cup was his final appearance at the tournament.
Ronaldo has yet to announce when he plans to retire from international football and would be 43 by the time Euro 2028 takes place.
This is the first squad selected by Jesus since he replaced Roberto Martinez, who left the role after Portugal’s 1-0 World Cup defeat by Spain in the last 32.
Jesus reunites with Ronaldo
Jesus previously managed Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, with the pair helping the Saudi Arabian club win the league last season.
The 72-year-old has also managed several of Portugal’s biggest clubs, including Benfica and Sporting Lisbon, before taking charge of the national team.
Portugal will begin their Nations League campaign at home to Wales on September 24.
Jesus’ side then travel to face Norway three days later before another away match against Denmark on October 1.
Portugal’s fourth fixture comes on October 4, when they host Norway.
