Ipswich Town and Arsenal have named their starting teams for their EFL Cup third round tie at Portman Road on Tuesday.

The Tractor Boys beat third-tier Leicester City 3-1 at home in the Carabao Cup second round, while the visitors are playing their first match in this season’s competition.

Mikel Arteta’s side have won all five of their games in 2026/27 after prevailing 2-0 at Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Gunners have advanced from all but two of their last 23 ties at this stage of the competition, while Ipswich have progressed from seven of their most recent nine such showdowns.

Ipswich confirmed starting team vs Arsenal

Jacob Greaves is the only Ipswich player to keep their place from the 3-2 win at Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.

New signings Florentino Luis and Zian Flemming make their full debuts and winger Jaden Philogene makes a full return from an ankle issue, having been a second-half substitute at Palace.

Azor Matusiwa is back in full training following thigh surgery but does not feature. Fellow midfielder Jack Taylor is out with a knee injury.

Abdoul Ouattara, 20, made his debut in the previous round.

Arsenal full line up vs Ipswich Town

Myles Lewis-Skelly and Gabriel keep their places from Arsenal’s win over the Black Cats, while Bruno Guimaraes is among nine players to come in, having scored a spectacular goal from the bench in that game.

Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi make their first starts of the season, as do 16-year-old sensation Max Dowman and defender Marli Salmon, who turned 17 in August and is making his second-ever Arsenal start.

Centre-back William Saliba is out injured, as are Ben White and Cristhian Mosquera.
