WATCH: Arsenal hit back with penalty in crunch clash with Bournemouth

Arsenal have hit back after falling behind at home to Bournemouth in Saturday’s early kick-off in the Premier League.

The Gunners were put under plenty of pressure from the off in North London, with Andoni Iraola’s side intent on pressing high.

And they were undone inside 20 minutes, with Eli Kroupi Junior prodding the ball home at the back post after some neat play from the visitors.

A cross into the box took a looping deflection off William Saliba, with the young Bournemouth striker on hand to slot past David Raya and stun the Emirates into silence.

But the lead lasted just 15 minutes, with Arsenal being handed a slice of luck.

Bournemouth failed to deal with a corner, and a loose ball flicked up off captain Ryan Christie’s arm, with Michael Oliver immediately pointing to the spot.

Viktor Gyokeres was the man to step up, and he dispatched his penalty with ease to level proceedings.

Arsenal are now pushing on for the lead as they look to extend their advantage at the top of the table.
