Another new era at Real Madrid begins tonight when Alvaro Arbeloa takes charge of his first game since succeeding Xabi Alonso as coach.

Alonso left the club on Monday with Arbeloa, formerly coach of Real Madrid Castilla, stepping up as his replacement.

Madrid had won five games on the trot prior to Sunday’s Spanish Super Cup final defeat to Barcelona in Saudi Arabia.

Albacete are 17th in the Segunda Division and without a win in four league games.
