Leeds v Liverpool preview
Leeds moved out of the bottom three with a win over Chelsea in midweek and now face the faltering Premier League champions.
Leeds have won just one of the last 12 league meetings of the sides but know that another three points will do their chances of survival the world of good leading into Christmas.
Manager Daniel Farke said: “There is no replacement for wins. To win in this manner against Chelsea – it was well-deserved – is good for the mood and confidence. We are always optimistic.
“It’s normal that the mood drifted a bit [during a run of six defeats in seven matches], but it should be like this at a club like this. Liverpool are still a top-class side and the reigning champions. There is lots of fluctuation and, over the course of 38 games, you will have times when you don’t have your best performance.
“I have no doubt that once we come to the crunch time of the season, they will be back and fight for the title and Champions League. Every team has ups and downs.”
Arne Slot’s side were fortunate to draw with Sunderland in midweek and go into the weekend 11 points behind leaders Arsenal.
Leeds v Liverpool team news
Leeds will check on strikers Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha who were both struggling late on against Chelsea.
Daniel James and Sean Longstaff remain out as manager Farke looks to rotate his side where he can.
Farke said: “It’s about finding a balance and normal that we rotate. There might be some new players in the starting line up. Ao Tanaka is a bit tricky because he’s played both games. He was in the ice bath [on Thursday].”
Arne Slot must decide if Mo Salah deserves a recall and may also look to rest some players with more Champions League action on the horizon.
Conor Bradley could return at right-back.

Leeds
Liverpool
Leeds are on a high and were excellent value for the win over Chelsea. They have enough to test a Liverpool side low on confidence.
