England defended their title at the Women’s Euro 2025, which took place across 25 days at eight venues in the 14th edition of the tournament.
Spain, who beat England 1-0 in the 2023 World Cup final, started as slight favourites ahead of the holders, with the likes of France and 2022 finalists Germany also among the leading contenders.
The Lionesses and La Roja proved inseparable in the final, which finished 1-1 before Sarina Wiegman’s side won 3-1 in a penalty shootout.
