The vititors head into the match on a pretty poor run of form. They have won just two of their last five league outings, a run which includes a draw with a poor Manchester United side last time out.

Everton, meanwhile, need a win against the west Londoners if they are to have any real chance of avoiding relegation this season.

The Toffees headed into Sunday sitting 18th in the Premier League, five points behind both Leeds United and Burnley.

And whilst Everton do have two games in hand on said sides, the club's recent form suggests that they will still struggle to close the gap.

Ahead of the game, Chelsea released their starting line-up an hour before kick-off.

The club's matchday squad looks fairly strong, but does not include N’Golo Kante nor Andreas Christensen:

Thomas Tuchel has since offered an explanation for the former's absence, though, stating that: “He went off at Old Trafford after 80 minutes and still has pain. It’s a minor injury. Hopefully he is back in the next match, but not today.”
