Revealed: How long Chelsea’s Reece James will be sidelined with fresh injury

Reece James is set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up a fresh injury.

Reece James suffered a knee injury back in October during Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Wolves.

The injury saw James miss out on the 2022 World Cup with England.

The right-back returned to action on Tuesday evening as Chelsea faced off with Bournemouth.

The Blues picked up a 2-0 win on the day but James was forced off early in the second 45 with another knee issue.

Now, an update on how long James is expected to be out following his latest injury has been revealed.

The Athletic report that the injury suffered by Reece James in Chelsea’s victory over Bournemouth on Tuesday is not as bad as first feared, with the England defender hoping to return in three to four weeks.

James underwent a scan on the injury on Wednesday morning following the game.

Whilst James is not out for too long, he looks set to miss at least six games for Chelsea, including two clashes with Manchester City and one vs Liverpool.
