Could Zlatan still hack it in Europe?
Former Inter Milan, Juventus and AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has hinted that he could return to Serie A when his LA Galaxy contract expires.
Zlatan has had an illustrious career around Europe.
The Swedish striker has played for elite clubs in almost every top league, including the likes of Barcelona, PSG, Ajax, Manchester United and several Italian clubs.
Recently, though, he’s been tearing up Major League Soccer.
Since signing for LA Galaxy back in 2018, Zlatan has scored an incredible 52 goals in 56 appearances, and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Now, he’s hinted at a possible return to Serie A when his contract with the Galaxy expires in December.
Serie A return on the cards?
Speaking to Sky Italia, as cited by the Mail, Ibrahimovic suggested that he could still return to Europe.
‘Oh 100 per cent, I know I could still make the difference, both in Italy and in other countries,’ Zlatan responded, after being asked if he would like a Serie A return.
‘I’d do better than the players who are there now. My contract expires in December and I don’t know what will happen after that.’
Having played for all of Juventus, Inter and AC Milan, there’s no telling which one he would have a preference for rejoining, or whether he would choose a different club entirely.
Regardless of where Zlatan ends up, there’s no doubt that he’ll make a big difference.
