Arsenal faced off with Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium in the first north London derby of the season on Saturday.
The tie was expected to be a close one, with Arsenal taking the lead after 20 minutes via Thomas Partey.
Harry Kane put Spurs back on level terms 11 minutes later from the spot, before Gabriel Jesus made it 2-1 after 49 minutes.
Emerson Royal was then shown a straight red card, with Granit Xhaka adding Arsenal’s third five minutes later.
The Gunners went on to see out the clash and remain top of the Premier League for at least one more week.
Following the game, Granit Xhaka has claimed that Martinelli is capable of becoming one of the best players at Arsenal:
“When Mikel came three years ago he said he needed time and you can see the results. We have a big squad with a lot of potential and we are showing it on the pitch.
“We have a different type of spirit and mentality in the team and you can see that.”
