Wolves team news and predicted XI vs Brighton

All the latest news from Molineux

Wolverhampton Wanderers will be looking to continue their impressive resurgence under Lopetegui in recent weeks as they travel to the south coast to take on a wobbling Brighton side on Saturday afternoon.

The midlands outfit have won three of their last four games, a run of form that has left them sitting pretty on 37 points, two points behind Chelsea and three away from the magical 40 point mark that almost guarantees safety.

As high as 13th, they are 7 points clear of the relegation battle as things stand, and could leapfrog Chelsea with another three points against Roberto De Zerbi’s side.

The Seagulls, meanwhile, were knocked out of the FA Cup on penalties by Manchester United, before falling to a shock 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Wednesday night, leaving them on the brink of missing out on European football next season.

Currently sitting 8th in the Premier League, they are five points behind fifth-placed Aston Villa with three games in hand, meaning that a spot in the Europa League is up for grabs should they be able to put a run of form together between now and the end of the season.

Wolves will be doing their utmost to stop that from happening, and here’s how we expect Lopetegui to set his side up to do just that.
