Wolves brilliantly troll Jurgen Klopp for post-game comments

The social media team at Wolverhampton Wanderers have, on Saturday, opted to have some fun at the expense of Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp.

Wolves, of course, were back in action earlier this evening.

After being sent packing from the FA Cup by the Reds just two weeks ago, Julen Lopetegui and co. welcomed Klopp’s Liverpool to Molineux, with sights set firmly on revenge.

And, when all was said and done on the day, clinch just that is precisely what Wolves went on to do.

This came as an early Joel Matip own goal was followed by further strikes on the part of Craig Dawson and Ruben Neves, en route to a remarkable 3-0 final scoreline.

Speaking on the back of the full-time whistle on another hugely concerning day for his side, the aforementioned Jurgen Klopp, in turn, was in altogether unsurprisingly foul mood.

One particular comment on the part of the German whilst speaking to the media, though, proved nothing short of ridiculous.

Highlighting Wolves’ third of the night as having come against the run of play, Liverpool’s headmaster suggested that he ‘doesn’t count it’:

“The third goal I don’t count because it was the first time they passed the halfway line in the second half.”

And, as alluded to above, Wolves’ online content team have since made use of this quote, to poke fun at Klopp in humourous fashion.

In a post on the club’s Twitter account, the Midlands outfit edited their full-time scoreline graphic, to remove Ruben Neves’ strike, and instead modify the result to 2-0.
