Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Julen Lopetegui has, on Saturday, provided updates the wellbeing of two members of his first-team squad.

Wolves, of course, were back in action earlier this evening.

After being sent packing from the FA Cup by the Reds just two weeks ago, Lopetegui and co. welcomed Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to Molineux, with sights set firmly on revenge.

And, when all was said and done on the day, clinch just that is precisely what Wolves went on to do.

This came as an early Joel Matip own goal was followed by further strikes on the part of Craig Dawson and Ruben Neves, en route to a remarkable 3-0 final scoreline.

As alluded to above, though, one sour note on an otherwise stellar day’s work for Wolves came on the personnel front.

The players in question? Mario Lemina and Hwang Hee-chan.

Speaking on the back of the action coming to a close, Julen Lopetegui, in turn, was drawn on the wellbeing of both important members of his squad.

And Wolves’ boss went on to reveal that Lemina is set to be assessed over the coming days, after picking up a late knock.

Hwang’s issue, on the other hand, appears to be more serious, with Lopetegui having had the following to say regarding the South Korean:

‘It’s a pity for us because he has a hamstring injury. We don’t know how long he will be out.’
