William Saliba sends message to Arsenal supporters

William Saliba has addressed Arsenal fans after their final game of the season.

William Saliba had a superb 2022/23 campaign for the Gunners and was key to their success at the top of the Premier League table.

However, the Frenchman would suffer an injury in March and has been sidelined since.

And on paper, a case can certainly be made that Saliba’s injury played a key role in Arsenal’s derailed title push.

Saliba missed Arsenal’s final 11 games of the league season. In that time, the Gunners failed to win six matches.

In contrast, Arsenal only failed to win six matches in the previous 27 games Saliba played in.

Now, Arsenal fans have shown their support for the injured centre-back.

After Arsenal defeated Wolves on Sunday, the first team squad came out to perform a lap of appreciation for the Arsenal fans.

Saliba was involved, and Gunners fans chanted his name as he walked the perimeter of the pitch. He was also applauded by teammates, including Fabio Vieira and Gabriel Martinelli.

Saliba then took to social media and alongside a photo of himself in front of the Gunners faithful, he simply wrote: “Thank you.”
