Jesus started in Brazil’s last World Cup group game vs Cameroon late last year and picked up an injury in the process.
It was then revealed that the striker would be out for an extended period. And with March now upon us, Jesus is yet to return to action for the Gunners.
So when will Gabriel Jesus return from his injury?
The striker went under the knife during the World Cup in the first week of December.
Since the surgery, Jesus has worked slowly to return to competitive action. He had been working on his fitness with Arsenal’s medical team and joined Arsenal’s London Colney training centre On February 7.
Before facing Leicester City in the Premier League, Mikel Arteta said of Jesus: “He’s progressing really well, he’s doing more and more on the field and the knee is not reacting, so really positive. We want to have him as quick as possible, but respect as well a little bit the timeframe we got from the doctors and the specialists. But he’s really pushing the boundaries right now.”
The Gunners are set to host Crystal Palace at the Emirates on March 19, and if all goes well, the forward might feature in said tie.
