What Diego Costa did to Cesar Azpilicueta during Chelsea’s win over Wolves

Diego Costa returned to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Chelsea took on Wolves in a 3 pm kick off on Saturday. Wolves remain without a manager whilst Chelsea are continuing to improve under Graham Potter.

The Blues made a number of changes for the match, seeing the likes of Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dropped to the bench.

However, Chelsea were still able to come away with a 3-0 win on the day. Kai Havertz opened the scoring in first-half injury time. Christian Pulisic then added a second shortly after the break before Amad Broja killed the game off in the 89th minute.

The result moved Chelsea up to 4th in the Premier League and left Wolves in the relegation zone with six points from nine games.

After the match, football.london have revealed what Diego Costa did to Cesar Azpilicueta.

As per football.london: “There was the merest flash in the opening period of the old Costa in the opening period; he half-heartedly bodychecked former teammate Cesar Azpilicueta as Wolves prepared to take a throw-in. But it wasn’t quite the Costa Chelsea supporters fondly remember. The fear factor has gone.”

Aubameyang has recently arrived from FC Barcelona and looked decent, but it has been many years since the west Londoners had a truly dominant no.9.
