West Ham have been handed a boost ahead of their second leg tie with Lyon in the Europa League quarter-finals, in which a victory could potentially set up a semi-final clash with Barcelona.
Currently, the tie is fabulously poised at 1-1, with a Jarrod Bowen goal having been cancelled out by a Tanguy Ndombele equaliser on the hour mark of the first leg of the London Stadium.
And, while the London side will be without Aaron Cresswell, who was given his marching orders in the first half of the first leg, they have been handed good news from the French camp.
This comes as reliable French outlet L'Equipe, who report that a trio of Lyon players are a doubt for the return leg. All of Tanguy Ndombele, Houssem Aouar, and Antony Lopes are doubts for the clash following their side's 1-1 draw with Strasbourg in Ligue 1.
All three players were taken off as Lyon stumbled to another draw in the French top flight, their 11th of the season, and L'Equipe report that both Aouar and Ndombele have suspected muscle tears, which would certainly rule them out against the Hammers.
Another great European night for West Ham?
David Moyes has guided his side past Sevilla already in what is a memorable season for the club, and could add to his CV on Thursday evening with another big night in France should he be able to mastermind a victory over a struggling Lyon.
A semi-final, potentially with Barcelona, would be the biggest night of the Hammers history.
